INTRODUCTION
What is this?
The double-girder semi-gantry crane is a special type of gantry crane with one leg running on a ground rail and the other leg running on a rail mounted on the building column. Through its double main beam structure with main and auxiliary hooks, combined with trolley and crane traveling, it achieves precise lifting and handling of heavy materials, large equipment, steel structures, and more. If your workshop has limited building height and cannot accommodate a standard overhead crane, but you still need high lifting height and strong load capacity, this product is designed for you.
Why choose a semi-gantry crane over a full gantry or overhead crane?
Compared to full gantry or overhead cranes, the semi-gantry solution offers four core advantages:
First, adapts to confined spaces – utilizes the building column rail on one side, eliminating the need for an independent elevated rail, especially suitable for workshops with insufficient height or unable to install overhead cranes.
Second, strong load capacity – double girder structure with large capacity design provides lifting capacity from 5 tons to over 100 tons, meeting heavy material handling requirements.
Third, greater lifting height – makes full use of the building clearance on one side, achieving higher effective lifting height than an overhead crane under the same building height.
Fourth, lower investment cost – compared to full gantry cranes, eliminates one side's elevated rail and large leg, significantly reducing civil and manufacturing costs.
Break through workshop space limitations with a more flexible structure.
What can we do for you?
We understand that every customer has different workshop structures, different capacity requirements, and different working areas. Therefore, we offer flexible customization options: lifting capacity from 5 tons to over 100 tons; span from 6 meters to 20 meters; main/auxiliary hook ratios such as 20/5t, 50/10t, etc.; control options of cabin, remote radio, or pendant; VVVF speed control optional. Whether your workshop is old with low clearance or new and spacious, we can match the most suitable span and lifting height.
Unsure? Don't know?
Not sure whether a semi-gantry or full gantry is more suitable for your workshop? Not sure what main/auxiliary hook capacity ratio you need? No problem. Just tell us: your building column height, your workshop span, and the maximum weight of the objects to be lifted. Our engineers will provide you with an accurate quote and CAD drawings within 24 hours. Click the button below or contact us via WhatsApp/email to get your customized solution.
💡 Tip: We offer free selection consulting. Even if you are unsure about specific parameters, feel free to describe your workshop structure and handling needs, and we will calculate for you.

APPLICATION SCENARIO
[1] Workshop Loading Bays – Handling heavy machinery, dies, or steel plates near bay doors with one side wall-mounted.
[2] Outdoor Storage Yards – Stacking and retrieving heavy materials (coils, pipes, concrete products) along building perimeters.
[3] Container Loading Areas – Lifting heavy cargo from trucks or containers with the wall-supported side saving floor space.
[4] Railway Maintenance Depots – Servicing locomotive components or heavy spare parts where building rails exist.
[5] Recycling Facilities – Moving heavy scrap bins or bales along a building edge.
